The Story behind the Bird: 
"During my Central California Coast days in Cayucos there was a cheap, classical beach guitar I bought in Brazil during a 2005 surf trip and there was a Sharpie pen. The guitar was a canvas for Christian and friends for their art. On one particular day in 2008 that coincided with our Poseidon brand launching I drew a bird flying across the guitar. For some reason the bird hit a chord with me and I kept drawing the bird. First on Foam Trucker hats with colored Sharpies that was our first apparel/accessory product we every sold on our website. A few years later after starting our Poseidon retail store in Santa Monica the "Bird" design was refined and now we print it on various hats and apparel. Long live the Bird! " - Christian Shubin
