2023 KT GINXU DRAGONFLY FOILBOARD
Sup Downwind Foilboard
Keith Teboul: “We’ve all dreamed of riding open ocean swells; now, we finally have the board that allows to do it effortlessly and with maximum control.”
After years of development, Keith Teboul and the design team’s pinnacle of design is finally here. Through hundreds of prototypes for the team and customers, pulling design concepts from America’s Cup yachts, downwind canoes, and SUP race boards, the team focused on peak performance and stability in the water, early takeoff, and ultimate control in the air.
The Ginxu Dragonfly has a low nose entry with beveled rails and a recessed deck through the paddling stance position to provide the added stability needed to get going even in the most demanding seas or choppy conditions. With a slight displacement hull through the nose and mid-section, which transfers to our patented Ginxu step bottom in front of the foil boxes, this board easily increases its forward acceleration with each pump to get you up and onto your foil with minimal effort. The added tail kick streamlines your paddling without locking you into your tracks. The tail provides a quick clean release off the back and immediately gets out of the way as the step bottom allows you to pump, take off and fly.
With its lightweight construction and 16” tracks for optimal foil positioning, you can perform hard carves in tight sections and pump to your next swell much easier. The Ginxu Dragonfly is the go-to choice for any open water foiler looking to Sup or prone downwind, flat water pop-up, or paddle in early on rolling swells. From 6’6” to 8’4”, there are options for all sizes and skill levels to get into this amazing new foiling experience. Ultra Carbon Monocoque Construction. High Density Foam Sandwich Available in 88, 95, 100, 105, 110, 121, 135 liters (6’6, 6’9, 7’0, 7’4, 7’7, 8’2, 8’4). Futures 16” Fin Boxes (comes without foil). Available in Sanded Dark Silver over Carbon, with Translucent Red Artwork and a Charcoal Pad.
Helix Camo Carbon Performance Round Pin Designed to paddle like a dream, glide through tubes, and turn on a dime, the Helix has become a staple in the quivers of team riders Kai Lenny, Imai Devault, and Ian Walsh.
Keith initially started working on the design for Lalo Goya and himself as a shape to handle larger and more hollow conditions. It eventually transitioned to becoming a crucial board in surf trip quivers and at home on Maui during the winter months. After refining the shape with Imai Devault and Ian Gentil during the contest season on Oahu’s North Shore, the Helix was born. While not intended to be a full-blown step up, the Helix is the board you can trust to get over the ledge or when you need to hold a line and excel on rail. The Helix has a bit of a wider tail and the wide point isn’t as far forward. It has a medium tail rocker with a medium entry. This allows the board to handle heavier waves and turn at faster speeds. A medium rail for some grab and yet forgiving enough for the faster speeds. This board comes in thruster setup with Futures boxes.
This board sits alone with the Crusher in that it’s at the top of the food chain for performance in pumping surf. We are doing this in PUE construction which is the tradition- al polyurethane wood stringer blank but we add the newer feature of epoxy resin for a quicker flex and more durability.” Camo Carbon EPS Epoxy Construction. Available in 5’7”, 5’8”, 5’9”, 5’10”, 5’10”, 5’11”, 6’0”, 6’0”, 6’1”, 6’2”, 6’4”. 3 Futures White ILT finboxes. Available in white.
